Select Model Of Car
Solid or Vented
Some models will have an option of a solid disc or a vented disc. As these discs are significantly different in thickness, it is not possible to interchange them without changing your calipers, so you would be best to check if your vehicle has solid or vented discs currently fitted.
These two types of discs are easy to tell apart if you look at them from the side and if you have alloys on your car, you should be able to do this without removing the wheel.
Vented brakes discs (not to be confused with drilled or perforated brake discs) are like two flat discs put together, one on top of the other, with a vent running between them.
Solid discs are a solid piece of material with no vents.
